Our experience with the first ever virtual Science fair in Sherwood:

What is Science? For these �ny tots of Akshar,it is nothing but learning about the world around
them.Their world is all about things surrounding them like colours, insects, birds, animals, flowers,
fruits, moon, sky ..... For them, science is exploring, observing, watching and listening.

Science Fair : It was a pla�orm for the children to showcase their talent, an opportunity for us to tap the
hidden talent of every child. Learning by doing.

All the children of pre primary par�cipated in the Science Fair. There are no words to express how
wonderful their presenta�ons were. Every child was confident and expressed himself/ herself without any
fear.

Different topics were given to the children.
Some enacted as wild and farm animals,some dressed up as fruits and vegetables.
Some explained about good habits and precau�ons to be taken to for Covid.Some dressed up as beau�ful
flowers.Some as community helpers explaining the importance of each community helper.Some children
dressed up as members of the family, explaining how each member of the family play an important role.
The li�le scien�sts of akshar,did simple experiments,like magic of colours, secret messages, sink and float
experiment, pepper, water and soap experiment,story of zero etc ....

Though it was a virtual Science Fair, each kid par�cipated with a lot of enthusiasm and each one was in
different costumes as per his/her role and with different props. It was a three day programme, each day
children had a different experience - Learning by doing.

We teachers thank parents for their support in making Science Fair a memorable experience for the
children.

We teachers and parents should give the child different opportuni�es to explore, know, understand things
around them and the wonderful world given by Almighty.

LET US CHERISH OUR CHILDREN FOR WHAT THEY ARE AND
NOT WHAT WE WANT THEM TO BE.
LET US MAKE THEIR CHILDHOOD A MEMORABLE ONE.
