         Independence Day

In the Early 16th century Brish people came to India from England for the purpose of trade. Later they
occupied all over the ununited India and started ruling from the mid of 18th century. During this ruling, all
the Indians were treated as slaves and there was no freedom. To get freedom from them, many great
freedom fighters like Subhash Chandra Bose, Alluri Sita Rama Raju, Komaram Bheem, Bhagath Singh,
Mahatma Gandhi and many more fought by uning all the Indians. Finally, we got independence from the
Brishers in the midnight of 15th August 1947.
From that day onwards every year we celebrate Independence Day on 15th August, a naonal fesval that
is a reminder of the countless sacrifices of our freedom fighters and leaders.

Jai Hind….. Mera Bharat Mahan…. Proud to be an Indian.
                                                                                        - Ashish Sri Sai Veer D, V

Independence day is one of my most favourite days. I love to see my country’s flag in the sky. Each and
every corner of India is decorated with the ‘ranga’. I am proud to say that I am an Indian. I am proud to live
in India. I am happy that God gave me such a life where everyone is different, where everyone’s food, dress,
language are different but sll respect others. Talking about independence day everyone comes together
for the flag hoisng let him/her be of any religion. The India we see today was not like this. India was not
independent before. The Brish ruled India for a long me. Then many heroes came to free India. They were
India's freedom fighters, who freed India. That is why we celebrate independence day.The India’s flag was
adopted on 22 July 1947. The saffron band represents dignity, the white band represents peace, and the
green band represents the country's greenery. I love my country, I am also thankful to the freedom fighters.
