This feels familiar......
Déjà vu is a French word which translates as ‘already seen’. As the name suggests, Déjà vu is a feeling that
one has lived through the present situaon before. The me you're experiencing déjà vu, you get that eerie
feeling that you have been here and have completed the exact same work in the past. We know that we
haven’t, but we feel amazed. We are lost in a completely different world figuring out what exactly
happened. It’s a strange and perturbing situaon.
Example – You walk into a room, and suddenly feel like you have been there before. Even though you
haven’t.
There can be two aspects in experiencing a déjà vu:-
1. Healthy way- A healthy brain can experience déjà vu. Many psychologists believe that experiencing déjà
vu indicates a healthy brain.
2. Medical disorder- People experiencing déjà vu and other symptoms like hallucinaons, confusion,
seizure frequently happen to be mentally ill or psychologically ill.
Have you experienced déjà vu before? Don’t worry, everyone has. I don’t know about you, but I have
experienced it several mes.
Here are a few facts on déjà vu:-
• Humans don’t seem to experience déjà vu unl they are at least 8 years old.
• One survey found that two-thirds of adults claim to have experienced déjà vu at least once.
• Travellers experience déjà vu more than others.
• The opposite of déjà vu is called “jaimus vu.” It’s when someone goes through a familiar seng but it
feels totally unfamiliar.
• Some studies claim déjà vu could be a part of precognive dreams, giving us a glance into the future.

Sherwood Public School - My Extended Family!
Sherwood - this single word means infinite emoons to me and I am sure even to you. I have spent the beer part
of my life that is 12 years in this school. There is a different aura about this place that even makes people vising
here for the first me feel like they have always known this place. Whenever someone says Sherwood all I can hear
is ‘Family’. I have never seen a school or even an instuon where the teachers, the domesc staff and the students
treat each other with great respect and love.
From a young age we are taught the importance of prayer, healthy compeon, having compassion and many more
virtues and values. If I were to write everything this school has taught me in this arcle, then I would take up the
whole newsleer and even that would not be enough.
Sherwood has always taught me to treat the domesc staff with equal respect and love as we give to the teachers.
When I write about my experience in Sherwood, how can I forget our extra curricular acvies. The debates , the
sports meets, the quizzes and all different sorts of compeons taught us that parcipaon is more important than
winning. I have celebrated fesvals in the school which I don’t get a chance to celebrate at my home like Raksha
bandhan and Sankranthi.
