The Olympic Games (French: Jeux olympiques) is an
important internaonal event featuring summer and winter
sports. Summer Olympic Games and Winter Olympic Games
are held every four years. The first games were in 776 BC.
They were held every four years unl the 6th century AC.
Although the ancient Games were staged in Olympia, Greece,
from 776 BC through 393 AD, it took 1503 years for the
Olympics to return.
The first modern Olympics were held in Athens, Greece, in 1896. The man
responsible for its rebirth was a Frenchman named Baron Pierre de
Coubern, who presented the idea in 1894.
Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the
Games had been postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, due to the
COVID-19 pandemic.
This span of 16 days is a joyous celebraon to the world. These 16 days fill the hearts of enrety of the
world for another 4 years unl the next Olympic games.
With about 33 games in the Olympic Program 2021, India is parcipang in 18 of them and is already doing
great in sports like boxing, table tennis and badminton.

The Olympics is a wonderful opportunity of a lifeme where hidden talents are executed in the form of
players' taccs in playing the game.Players from various countries grab this opportunity to give their best
by parcipang in the Olympic games. India is one such mighty country among the others. Indian players
are associated with many games such as Badminton , Archery , Wrestling , Shoong , Hockey etc.
Saikhom Mirabai Chanu has bagged a silver medal in women’s 49 kg weightliing
compeon and made every Indian proud. Her preparaons and backstage struggles
are all converted into a fruiul victory and she has surely inspired many hearts.
PV Sindhu created history as she becomes India's first-ever woman athlete to
win two Olympic medals. She clinched Bronze medal in the Tokyo Games 2020
aer winning silver in Rio five years ago. Overall, she is the second Indian
double Olympic medalist, aer wrestler Sushil Kumar.
India's 23-year old boxer Lovlina Borgohain bagged a Bronze medal following
her Semi-Final loss. She is only the third Indian boxer to clinch an Olympic
medal aer Vijender Singh and Mary Kom.
Doors for opportunies are always open as everyone equally deserves it but the Olympics teach that only
the people who understand its importance and ulize it in an appropriate manner will master their game.
Win or loss does not always count but parcipaon does. Hence, India needs to be a lile more movated
to reach the Olympic level and must be trained in such a way that there is a hope to bring home the medals.
It is all about self belief, sincere hard work, perseverance and strategy to win any game or sport, then those
proud moments when the Indian players will be welcomed home with a blaze of glory will not be far away.
