Primary (Class I-V)
CCA in Primary Classes
CCA classes are an amazing experience for the kids of the Primary Classes.
The children show their creavity in different ways. These acvies always give students the opportunity to
organize their own thoughts.
The acvity held on Friday 16th July was Collage Making. It is a simple cra acvity that involves pasng
items like leaves, bits of papers, different paper cungs, etc. for creang the Theme given to them.Making
a collage helps the children build fine motor skills. It is also a fun way to encourage the child's awareness of
color and texture. This acvity also helps to enrich student's experience in pictorial composion through
the handling of various materials.
Children enjoyed the acvity thoroughly because it was a completely new concept for them. They had to
decide what to use and how best to use the material to express themselves. The teachers witnessed the
usage of various skills in the collages made by the students. The children feel comfortable and confident
with these acvies through which they speak about their innermost thoughts and feelings.
The various themes given to different classes for making collages were as follows:
Class 1: Making apples with bits of paper.
Class II: Making a bunch of grapes with bits of paper.
Class III: Making Rocket with bits of papers or pulses or petals of flowers.
Class IV: House with garden with different color papers and coon.
Class V: Creang a scenery with natural materials.
